Los Mejores Trucos PROFESIONALES para criar pájaros y aves exóticas con Éxito y muy Fácil: Descubre los SECRETOS para criar periquitos, canarios, …
How to raise birds and exotic birds.
Hello colleagues and fellow fans,
welcome once again to a new video.
On this occasion, I am going to explain a series
factors and necessary conditions that are
must give when breeding and reproducing
birds or any other type of domestic birds,
like canaries, parakeets, goldfinches, lovebirds,
diamonds and so on.
So if you are interested, stay that we start !.
When it comes to breeding with any type of bird
we must gather a series of factors and conditions
that favor reproduction, in order to
ensure success during rearing and avoid
that problems may appear that put in
risk to reproductive health or
cause the death of future offspring.
First of all, the first thing we must make sure
if we want to breed with any type of bird,
it is to have a male and a female, obviously.
In some types of birds it is easy to know
sex, since there is sexual dimorphism
between the male and the female, that is,
at first glance we can notice notable differences
between both sexes, as is the case for example
Gouldian finch, in which males
show more vivid, intense colors
and showy than females, of some kinds
of canaries such as mosaics,
in which we can also appreciate differences
notable between male and female, through
of the mask area and shoulders.
Or also of the parakeets, in which if
we appreciate the color of the wax, which is the
area that is located in the part
top of the peak, we can know its sex,
since in most mutations
males are usually blue and
females pink or brown.
And in the event that there is no sexual dimorphism
between one and the other, that is to say, that at first glance
we cannot recognize which is male and which
is female for sure as for example could
occur with masked diamonds, bichenov
or some breeds of canaries or lovebirds, always
we can try to sex them through your
singing or performing a DNA analysis
in specialized laboratories for this.
Second, once we have already identified
the sex of the birds and we know for sure
that we have a male and a female, we must
know well how old the birds are
with whom we want to raise, to ensure
that at the time of breeding, both the
male and female have reached full
sexual maturity and thus avoid having problems
clear eggs, pierced eggs, etc.
In summary, the ideal in most
of domestic birds, such as canaries, parakeets,
Gouldian fins or mandarins, is that the
birds are at least one year old and
do not exceed 4 or 5 years.
Because just like there can be complications
when we breed too young birds,
problems can also appear if we breed
with overgrown birds.
Here above and below in comments you
I will leave the link to a video in which I explained
a series of tricks to know how old you
has a canary, but it can also
serve to know the age of any other
similar type of bird.
So if you are interested, I will leave it below
in comments and at the end of the video you
I'll leave it posted up here.
The third rule, and that is one of the keys
of successful breeding and reproduction of
any kind of birds, it is their food or
feeding.
We already know that there are birds that have a
granivorous feeding, as is the case
of most domestic birds that
are usually found more easily in
houses, such as canaries, parakeets, goldfinches
and others, but there are also other types of
birds that have a diet based on
of small insects or larvae, which are the
which are known as insectivores.
But as I say, they are not usually very common
and therefore I'm not going to focus much
in them.
The diet is obviously different
depending on the type of bird.
That is, they do not have the same diet
a canary or a goldfinch, than a lovebird,
a parakeet or a nymph.
For example, in the case of canaries if
we analyze the mixture of seeds, they usually
be made up of birdseed, hempseed, knob
white, and other types of seeds in proportions
adequate.
While in the case of parakeets by
For example, the mixture is usually made up of
birdseed, for different types of millet, pipes,
and other types of seeds. seeds
On the other hand, in addition to the type of bird,
the percentages of seeds that we include
in their mixture they will also depend a lot
of the stage of the year, since the birds
do not have the same nutritional needs
in the breeding or reproduction period, which
in the molting or resting period.
For example in the rearing period, the needs
of birds increase and need more
amount of protein seeds that favor
the appearance of the birds' heat and guarantee
good development and growth of future
young.
While in the case of the move, these
needs decrease slightly and we must
adapt the mixture to the needs they have
the birds for the change of plumage.
Also, another aspect to consider are
environmental conditions or the cage where
our birds are housed, since
that a cold climate is not the same as a climate
hot and it is not the same to house the birds
in normal cages than in large birds
dimensions.
In the case of cold climates, how could
be for example winter is Spain, it would be
advisable to add to the diet of birds,
a higher percentage of fatty seeds
that allow them to better combat casualties
temperatures.
And in the case of hot periods how could
being the summer, it would be advisable to reduce
to some extent the fats in your diet.
And in the event that our birds are found
housed in normal standard size cages,
it would be advisable to reduce the percentage a little
of fats in their diet, since daily
exercise less and consume less
calories, thus avoiding fattening
excessively and may have health problems
long-term, caused by possible damage
liver disease as a result of regular intake
of a fatty diet.
And if, on the contrary, our birds are
housed in large or flying cages of
large dimensions where they can fly from
back and forth and exercise daily,
we can add a percentage to your diet
greater oilseed or fat, put
that by exercising more they need to ingest
more calories to keep
in good health.
And finally, to complete the feeding
of the birds, it is also necessary to perform
several weekly contributions of fruits and vegetables
that will provide you with minerals and vitamins
necessary to complete your diet.
Along with other types of food supplements
as they could be the pasta of breeding or the feed,
and products such as cuttlefish bone or grit.
The fourth point and also one of the most
important along with food, is
the hygiene of the aviary and the conditions in
those that we have our birds.
Always, we must have our aviary and
cages of our birds very clean, to
prevent parasites, viruses from appearing
or bacteria that cause the appearance of
diseases.
So we must regularly clean the
place where the birds are, the
cages, nests, feeders and drinkers and also,
we have to make sure they have a
good ventilation.
On the other hand, it is very important to
consider the type of cage that we are going to use
when it comes to raising with our birds,
since depending on the type of bird we will need
a larger or smaller cage, a cage
with horizontal or vertical bars, etc.
So we will have to take into account that
the cage must meet a series of conditions
minimum that guarantee the good state of
the couple and the future offspring, since
not only will the male coexist in them and
the female but in the future if everything has
gone correctly, the
future offspring.
Hence the cage must be sufficiently
spacious so they can fly and exercise
comfortably and, in addition, it is very important
the cage is easy to clean to ensure
that both parents and babies are going to
be in good condition.
In the case of finches like canaries,
goldfinches and diamonds are often used
this type of cage with vertical bars.
While in the case of parrots like
parakeets, lovebirds or nymphs, cages
usually have horizontal bars because
They are very active and playful birds to which
they love to climb through their cage.
Also, once we know which cage
is the best to have and raise our
birds, we must place it in a quiet place,
that provides security and privacy to the couple,
and it is very important to avoid moving the cage
place during breeding, as it could
cause them stress, they may become frightened and cause
the eggs stop hatching or directly
abandon their young.
The sixth important point to ensure the
success in breeding, is to analyze what type
nest usually use or prefer
the birds we want to breed with, now
that although in the market there are many types
from different nests, there are some species
who prefer some before others since
that give them tranquility, intimacy
and security, which they need during breeding.
As a quick summary, canaries often
use this type of basket-shaped nest,
that there are also many types, while
that parakeets, lovebirds and other parrots
usually use box nests, which
they come in many sizes and shapes.
So everything will depend on the type of bird,
since a nest of parakeets is not the same
than a nest of nymphs.
And finally, in the case of mandarin diamonds,
Gouldian finch and all these kinds of diamonds
they also tend to prefer box nests or, in
some cases, dome-shaped nests.
Obviously, each type of bird has
a specific breeding season, which
will be marked by its nature, that is,
we cannot breed with the birds in any
time of year or when we feel like it,
it must be done at the right time,
when the birds are ready, exist
a good temperature and favorable humidity
and there are a series of conditions that favor
the reproduction.
In the case of canaries or goldfinches,
in Spain, it is usually raised in conditions
natural from the beginning of March to
end of June-July, while in the
case of exotic birds such as diamonds from
gould, bibs, parakeets and others, it is usually
breed when it is the austral spring, that is,
when the first starts in Australia, which
is when those birds would breed in their habitat
natural, although there are some species that do
the conditions of our aviary allow it
they can breed at any time
of the year.
And finally, to guarantee a good breeding
we must use only for reproduction
birds that are in good health,
that is, birds that are not sick
or have recently had an illness.
To prevent them from transmitting it to their offspring
and that in the end the reproducers themselves die
by the attrition of the young or the young may
die from not having your system well developed
immunological.
